Santa Clarita Meet: We are leaving on Friday, October 12 for Southern Ca. for this meet. More information (maps, itinerary etc.) to follow.
Varsity Cross Country Poem: This poem was written by Katie Cousineau for our team.
We run & run & run some more, We just run ourselves into the floor, For miles & miles we go, but Adam always runs more, ya know. Kelli, yeah, she's always winnin', but so does Amanda, so don't be trippin'! Quickly Tanner's running past, & Robert Gertz is far from last. Watch out for Cori, she's zooming by, While Kirsten seems to really fly. Here comes Allen speeding through, & Kenny's a great addition to the crew. Jacobs running rather speedy, leaving others feeling needy. Alex keeps on going, it seems, & Katie backs up all the teams. We're Varsity Cross Country so run if you must, So you best watch out, or you'll eat our dust!
September 17 - 22

Sac Joaquin Subsection Information: As always we will need parents to help drive. Each athlete will need to be at the course no later than two (2) hours before their race time. Try to gauge your travel time to arrive at this time (it will be different for each division - Varsity, Frosh/Soph etc.). Example - Our freshmen boys run at 9:30 am and should arrive at the course at around 7:30 am, the frosh/soph girls run at 10:00 am and should arrive at 8:00 am etc. The general travel rule is a runner needs to be out of the car and at the race site before a race for as long as the runner is in the car traveling to the meet. It takes about a hour and 45 minutes to get to the course. It is also better that runners not drive themselves. Saturdays meet schedule is posted below (Bella Vista is a Division 2 school):

2016 Bella Vista Cross Country Announcements |
BV Boys Varsity Section Champs! For the second year in a row the Bella Vista boys varsity cross country team won the Sac Joaquin Section DII championship scoring 66 points to out pace second place Whitney High School who finished with 89. The win avenged the boys loss to Whitney in the CVC finals while at the same time punched their ticket to a second straight appearance at the CIF State Meet! The top seven of Jaxon Clausen, Damian King, Nathaniel LaSalle, Bret Henkel, Benjamin Blankenburg, Tristan King and Eugene Kim will represent BV in Fresno on November 26.
Bella Vista's JV boys also won the SJS JV division showing the amazing depth of the Bronco cross country program. Following the JV boys were the freshman boys taking 2nd in the DII race with the sophomore boys placing 5th in their division.
On the girls side BV's Cessair McKinney qualified to the big show as an individual placing 4th overall running a personal best 18:39 for the difficult Willow Hills course. That time is the second best by any Bronco girl ever and this makes 4 straight state meet runs for Cessair! What an amazing cross country career she has had!
Good luck at State to all the Broncos!
