Awards Banquet Highlights:  Thanks to all the families for all the great food!  On to the awards.  All time list members for the frosh/soph boys included Greg Imamura (No. 3 all time) and Taylor Carlin (No. 10 all time).  For the frosh/soph girls Tara Harmon (No. 5 all time) and Kristen Dohnt (No. 8 all time).  Most Valuable Athlete trophies went to Alex St. Pierre for the girls and Ian Benton for the boys.  The Most Outstanding frosh/soph awards went to Tara Harmon and Greg Imamura and the Most Outstanding Varsity awards went to Kelli Dorey and Allen James Wong.  Remember, you can pick up your 2002 Bella Vista Cross Country yearbooks from Coach Fagundes on Tuesday, December 3.  See you in track!

2002 Awards Banquet: When: Saturday, November 23 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  Where: Bella Vista High School Library, 8301 Madison Avenue, Fair Oaks, CA 95628.  Who: All members of the 2002 Girls and Boys Cross Country Team and their immediate families.  Menu: Potluck luncheon with each athlete (family) bringing a selection from the categories below according to the initial of your last name.  Please bring enough food category to serve 8 (eight) people and enough drinks for your family.  A-F bring main dish.  G-R bring salad and salad dressing.  S-Z bring dessert.  The Bella Vista Cross Country Club will provide eating utensils.  IMPORTANT NOTE: ALL ATHLETES WHO HAVE COMPLETED THEIR SEASON MUST HAVE TURNED IN THEIR UNIFORMS (SHORTS, SINGLET, AND SWEAT OUTFIT) IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THEIR AWARDS.  YOU MAY TURN IN YOUR UNIFORM AT THE LUNCHEON TO COACH FAGUNDES.  PLEASE RETURN THE UNIFORMS CLEAN AND IN A BROWN PAPER BAG WITH YOUR NAME ON IT.

A Big Thank You!!  Thanks to all of the BV parents (and athletes) who helped out at the Bronco Invitational this last weekend.  I don't think we have ever had this kind of parent turn out for one of our invitationals before.  We had several compliments from coaches of the competing schools on how well the meet was run!

Carondelet/De La Salle ADIDAS Invitational:  The Broncos will be heading to Concord this weekend (Saturday, September 21).  Once again we have to carpool to the meet so make sure you have a ride before the end of practice on Friday.  For a map and meet schedule follow the 2002 Schedule of Meets link above.

C.A.L. Center Meet 1:  We will be at Rio Americano High School on Wednesday, September 18.  Directions, maps and course maps can be accessed by following the Schedule Of Meets link or the Maps to Meets link above.  We do not have a bus and must car pool.  Make sure that you have a ride before Wednesday.

Lagoon Valley Classic:  We will be traveling to the Lagoon Valley Classic this week - Saturday, September 14.  Go to the Schedule Of Meets page or the Maps To Meets page above for a map and meet schedule.  Please bring $3.00 for parking.  

Team Spaghetti Dinner: On Friday, August 30 there will be a team "bonding" starting at 6:30 pm and ending at 8:00 pm at the Simpson's house.  See Cori or Paul for directions.  Last names starting with A-F please bring bread, H-L bring some kind of fruit, vegetable, or salad, M-Z drinks or a dessert.  Hope to see you there. (This dinner is for athletes only please)

Granite Bay Invitational: We will be at Sierra College this Saturday (August 31).  The First race begins at 8:30 am.  

Cross Country Parent Meeting: There will be a Cross Country parent meeting on Monday August 26 at 6:30 in the BV cafeteria.  The meeting in the cafeteria is a general athletics information meeting and all parents should attend.  At 7:15 the cross country team parents will go to a designated room for cross country specific information.

Summer Running Schedule:  Cross Country runners will be meeting with Coach Fagundes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7:30 am at Bella Vista starting on Monday, July 1.

2002 Schedule Up:  A "tentative" cross country schedule is up (click on 2002 Schedule Of Meets above).  There is a possibility that some meets will be added and some will be dropped.

BV Cross Country Running Camp: Our annual running camp will be from August 12 to August 16 at the General Creek Campground near Lake Tahoe.
