A common saying in cross-country is that the 3 most important things about XC are June, July, and August!  This is a very important time to get our aerobic base, build muscle, and enable us to start doing serious workouts right away rather than several weeks into the season.

Optional Group Practices (beginning June 17th-August 1st) *** Please note changes from the info that was handed out at the Track awards night!

As we have done in the past we will have unofficial non-mandatory summer conditioning. All are welcome (alumni, siblings, parents, friends, BV athletes who just want some pre-season conditioning, etc).  This is a great time to recruit your friends to see if they would like it. We hold these workouts to make it easier for you to get in a workout, but if you cannot make any of these times, feel free to run on your own.  You may contact me at any time if you want some guidance on your training mileage targets.

Monday (beginning June 17th): Nimbus Flats by the Sacramento Aquatic Center at 6:30 pm (you may use a state pass or park at the Sacramento Aquatic Center or in the park and ride and walk) ****Very important to bring a towel or mat if you don’t like goose poop.
