(his first being the long jump record of 23' 5.50" on March 8, 2003).   The old record of 49.00 was held by Ernie Dillard and set in 1987.  That makes a total of four school records for Cain.  The two individual and two relay records (Sprint medley in 2002 and this years long jump relay record).  Congratulations to Gerrell for breaking a 16 year old record!

Long Jumpers Break Record! On Wednesday, March 19 at the first CAL Center Meet, three Bella Vista varsity boys long jumpers broke a 10 year old long jump relay record.  The old record held by Kyle O'neil, Brandon Doss, and Britt Lucky at 63' 3.5" in 1993 was broken by Gerrell Cain (22'11"), Jim Ashen (21'7") and Robert Gertz (19'5") for a total of 63'11".  Congratulations!
