Frosh/Soph Boys Break Record! The sophomore boys relay team of Allen Thrall, Greg Schirmer, Patrick Ashen, and Sam Corcos broke an 18 year old record in the 4 x 100 relay by running 44.52 seconds at the Sacramento Meet of Champions.  That time was good enough to place second at the prestigious meet.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! It is amazing how things came together before and during this last week before the CAL Invitational.  First, a big thanks to Kreig Kaufman for all of his hard work delivering sand for the jump pits, mowing the grass around the track, and taking care of the golf cart batteries.  Thanks to all of the BV parents and our Track Booster Club who gave of their time to help out at the meet.  Thanks to the BV athletes who helped out the week before and during the meet.  Thanks to the schools of the CAL for doing such an outstanding job helping run the meet.  We had nothing but compliments from the visiting schools about how well the meet was run.  Thanks to the weather!  These types of events can not be put on by one or two people.  We need great people like yourselves to accomplish great things.  I hope everyone had a good time!

All Time List Update! There were a few Broncos who achieved all time list marks at the CAL Invitational on March 12.  The McAllister Sisters, Kari and Diane, each contributed to the list.  Kari (11) improved her mark to 10' 6" (tied for 4th all time) and Diane (9) made her list debut at 8' 6" (tied for 9th all time).  Mike Gertz (12) cleared 13' 6" to enter the list for the first time tied for 9th all time.  High jumpers Veronica Stimson (10) and Jackie Bardosi (11) equaled their PR's and all time marks on Saturday.  Veronica jumped 5' 4" to win the meet and Jackie went 5' 0" to tie for 4th.

Clarke Massey Relays All Time List Update!  Tiffany Yu (11) became a member of her second all time list at the Clarke Massey Relays on March 5.  Jumping 15' 5" in the long jump Tiffany entered the list at 9th all time!

Inter-squad Meet Highlights!  The team scores are not finished being tabulated but here are some individual highlights.  Veronica Stimson (10) lead the way with marks of 10-6 in the pole vault (tied for 4th place all time) and 5-2 in the high jump.  Patrick Ashen (10) 41-2 in the triple jump.  Mike Gertz (12) 13-6 in the pole vault.  That ties him for 9th all time.  Derek Porter (12) jumped 20-11 in the long jump (2.5 inches off 10th all time).  Jenny Downs (11) threw 29-10 in the shot put (less than a foot off 10th all time).  Looks like another strong group for the Broncos in 2005.  Look for more full results soon.
