Please join us for a banquet celebrating an outstanding track season!  We’ll have a potluck dinner and a time of sharing each athletes contributions as well as honoring our fabulous coaches.

Where:  Christ Community Church Gym - 5025 Manzanita Ave,  Carmichael CA, 95608 - Coming from Madison, pull into the second driveway and go all the way to the back of the parking lot.  We’ll be in the big building at the back of the property.  Look for signs.

Bring:  Last name beginning with A-K bring a main dish

           Last name beginning with L-Z, bring a side salad- green, pasta, grain…

Drinks and dessert will be provided

*** If you borrowed a uniform for the season, please return it at the banquet washed and in a bag with your name on it.


CVC Trials and Finals Bus Sign Up: The CVC trials and finals at Cosumnes Oaks HS will be on Wednesday, May 9 and Friday, May 11 with the meet starting at 2:00 PM both days. All athletes will be competing. We have two buses reserved for Wednesday and one for Friday. We may not need that many so we need to have a sign up to find out how many of you need to ride the bus. Sign up information is below:

  2. On Wednesday we have two buses that seat around 80 so if you need a ride to the meet sign up for the bus by clicking here. This is a first come first served situation so sign up right away.
  3. On Friday we have one bus that seats around 40 so if you need a ride to the meet sign up for the bus by clicking here. This is a first come first served situation so sign up right away. You will need to be in a Friday event to ride this bus. If you have questions about the meet schedule (linked below) and when you will compete email or speak with your event coach or email Coach U. It may help to review the meet format.
  4. Both days the bus will be dropping off and then leaving. This means if you ride the bus to the meet you need to secure your own ride home.
  5. If you don't ride the bus to the meet you need to secure your own ride to Cosumnes Oaks high school.
  6. All team members are excused at 12:00 noon and all of 5th and 6th periods in the attendance office. Your teachers have been notified to release you at noon.
  7. The meet starts at 2:00 so you will need to arrive at Cosumnes Oaks HS (map) around 1:00 pm. This means you will need to leave Bella Vista at 12:15 PM.
  8. I am estimating this meet will last 4.5 hours so the last events should be ending around 6:30 pm (meet order of events).
  9. Because we are leaving before lunch you will need to organize your uniform, lunch and anything else you will need to bring ahead of time. There will be little time to get into the BV locker room to change into your uniform. Be ready Wednesday and Friday morning to be on the road by 12:15.
  10. When you arrive you must stay in the stadium. Cosumnes Oaks is still in session and no one is aloud outside the stadium. Under no circumstances is anyone aloud in the main campus!

Sacramento Meet of Champions Bella Vista Athlete/Workers Instructions:

BV Parent and Student Volunteer Arrival Times: Bella Vista team members working at the Sacramento Meet of Champions Open Session (Day Meet - 11:00 am to 4:00 pm) should arrive at American River College at 10:00 AM. Bella Vista team members working in the Invitational Session (Night Meet - 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm) should arrive at 4:00 PM. It is important that you do not wander in late because the parking situation may be difficult (see below). If you did not pick up your t-shirt on Friday see Coach U at 10:00 or 4:00 to get it. Parking: American River College will be charging $5.00 to park this year. Parent and student volunteers must tell the parking lot attendant that you are a volunteer and your parking pass will be given to you at the coaches/athletes gate. Make sure you place the parking pass in your car or you will be ticketed. Take the stop light entrance to the stadium parking lot.

Bella Vista Athletes: A meet schedule can be found at this link. You should plan to arrive about 90 minutes before your event start time. Our team area will be on the small south lawn near the scoreboard. You will need to get your bib number from one of the BV coaches.


Bronco Invitational Schedule:

Running events will be run in what we call a "rolling schedule" meaning they will start at 9:00 am and after that follow the order on the schedule. However, after the 9:00 am start the times for each running event will be uncertain. Field event times are listed on the order of events and are fairly accurate. Field event athletes should figure each division will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete for each event. Below is an estimated time schedule for the running events. CVC Meet 2 at Roseville High School - Travel and Arrival Instructions

  1. Team Entries - all team members are entered in this meet.
  2. We have no bus this time so everyone is responsible for securing their own ride to Roseville HS.
  3. All team members are excused in the attendance office for all of 6th period on Wednesday, April 4. 5th period ends at 2:01 so you should plan to be on the road to Roseville as soon after 2:01 as possible. Roseville HS is not as far as Ponderosa but could take as long or longer to get there because of traffic. Parking at Roseville HS can be a problem!
  4. When you arrive you must stay in the stadium. Roseville HS may still be in session and no one is aloud outside the stadium. Under no circumstances is anyone aloud in the main campus!
  5. The meet starts at 3:30 pm and should end around 8:30 pm. Link to meet schedule.

Randy Sturgeon Invitational Schedule: Team members who will be competing on Saturday, March 10 will be announced in practice on Thursday, March 8 and can be viewed by clicking here. Athletes should arrive at Granite Bay High School one hour before their event is scheduled to start. Running events will be run in what we call a "rolling schedule" meaning they will start at 9:00 am and after that follow the order on the schedule. However, after the 9:00 am start the times for each running event will be uncertain. Field event times are listed on the order of events and are fairly accurate with the exception of the pole vault. It will begin at 8:30 am and follow a rolling schedule. Vaulters should figure at least 2 hours per division so plan your arrival accordingly. Below is an estimated time schedule for the running events. Remember this is a best guess so plan to be at Granite Bay High School well in advance of this guess. Parent Meeting: The Bella Vista track and field team will be having our annual parent meeting Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00 PM in the BV Big Gym. Topics of discussion will be team rules and expectations, season schedule, transportation to away meets, and ways you as parents can help your son or daughter as well as the BV track community. We have a very large team this year so it is important that we get everyone involved and this meeting is the first step. Also please check out our donation letter. Hope to see you all there! The first round of field events start at 9:00 am and you should figure it will take about 2 hours for each division so if you are scheduled for a 9:00 am field event be at Cordova at 8:00 am. If you are schedule for the second field event be at Cordova at 10:00 am and for the third field event be there at 12:00 pm. Field event athletes click the "order of events" link above for when you are scheduled to compete.

Everyone should exchange cell numbers with someone on their relay team and/or field event team just in case the schedule moves faster than expected. That way we can call you and let you know to arrive earlier.

Track and Field Pre-Season Conditioning: The Bella Vista Track and Field Team will begin pre-season conditioning starting Tuesday, January 16 at 3:20 pm. Meet at BV in the stadium and wear something you can work out in. You will need to be cleared through the BV athletics department before you can participate. For information on the clearance process follow this link.

It's January and it could be cold so bring a sweatshirt and sweatpants that you can warm up in and wear when you are done. We will meet every week day Monday through Friday with the exception of Monday, January 15 because of the Holiday. Follow this link for a conditioning calendar.

Athletes who are currently in a winter sport (basketball, soccer & wrestling) need to finish the winter sport season before they can join the track team. (posted 1-6-18)

2018 Track and Field Team Sign Ups: The Bella Vista Track and Field Team will be having sign-ups on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at lunch in the big gym.  Those wanting to join the team will need to be there to sign up and collect important information on the upcoming 2018 season.  If you have any friends who want to come out make sure that they stop by! Pre-season conditioning begins Tuesday, January 16 (conditioning schedule).
